It is true Tsim Sha Tsui does not give the place the traditional touch as well as Central, but the view of the city landscape is just spectacular. The parade begins at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and goes along the Salisbury road. After Salisbury Road, the parade is taken to Mody Road. It then takes a U turn to reach the new World Centre. If you are visiting during this time of the year, make sure you choose an appropriate spot on this route around three hours in advance.
Since the parade is generally held in the late evening, the city is lighted up in a dazzling manner. Some of the world’s most creative groups including the Hong Kong Disney World participate with the best floats in display. And if you thought that this event was a just a pure visual treat, well then you are wrong. You will get the best feel of the local music like the drums and the like here as well. In fact this is the time the whole city comes to life.
